Chosen business card

I decided to go with this design and colour as it works better against black, the orangy brown, than the other ones, green was too luminous, blue was too dark against a black background and the red, well, its kind of the obvious one to go for, so I went for this one. I am going to do test prints to see how it looks on paper, I have them in sketchbook, which is why I used the brown one.

Rock you

Back from 2004, this recieved over 45 million views online. Perhaps because it has Beyonce, Pink and Britney half clothed for a Pepsi ad. Still it worked!

The T-Mobile Dance

This is a good example of a viral advert, that works extremely well. I will find other examples to see how I can compare what the outcome of my own one will be like and how I will get it on the Internet. Other examples to be posted soon.

Campaign logo for Major project

Idea behind this, is the thought of protection. The child's face is sad, as they can't see the content, but parents is normal, neither happy nor sad. As being happy, would show the adult as enjoying the content, and if sad, well then they shouldn't look at it at all.

Video

Video is coming along nicely, since last tutorial I have edited my footage, what I showed previously was just footage, unedited, and I got told by Hugh to cut bits out, which I was going to do anyway, at that time all I had was footage I had shot the day before. So should have a different reaction to it at the review, hopefully not get told the same thing....the idea is to show a kid playing the the violent game, the video shows time passing by as his playing, which is a contributing factor to violence in kids from games, as well as the content. It then goes on to show him going home from school, and he gets into a fight, and he perceives it like the game he plays, and then changes to show how its real and not a game, adding more seriousness, shock to the situation. He then wakes up after, and continues with the game, believing its just a dream, but his hands are bruised to show that perhaps its not....

Someone pointed out theres no link to to violence from games. His playing a game at the beginning, think that clarifies that....and my research shows in studies that violence in games contributes to violence in kids and young teens, because of the repetitiveness of it, which makes it stick in mind, like learning. Heres a link to where they talk about tests conducted in 2006 (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16099971/). Games haven't been around as long as TV, so not a lot of research has gone into them and the possible effects. But anyway, that aside here are some stills from my video so far. I have used similar planning as like the drinking advert with the guy who thinks his a superhero, and falls off scaffolding, it has shocking moment when scenario changes and he falls.

So...thats what I have so far, I will upload the video done, well after its done, still a bit of editing to do, and still have the review friday, so whatever feedback I get depends on what I have to change, which hopefully won't be all of it, like I was told on the last project :( . But I think my research is good, and theres reasons why I have done things certain ways, and I hope people will see that.
